Video: The lasting impact of effective teachers
In an interview this weekend on the PBS NewsHour, Harvard researcher Raj Chetty discusses a groundbreaking new study which has shown the dramatic and lasting impact of great teachers on their students, including a higher percentage of students going on to college and a significant increase in lifetime earnings in adulthood, and lower teen pregnancy rates. The study also shows that value added measures based on student test scores accurately identify effective teachers.
