Sign the petition to support the Parent Empowerment Act

Parent involvement is key to student success.  But in order for parents to be involved, they need to have access to meaningful information about their children’s education and they need to have the opportunity to take action when their children are not getting the education they deserve.

If you agree, sign the petition to ask legislators to support the Parent Empowerment in Education Act (HB 1191).

I ask you to support the Parent Empowerment Act because parents deserve:

• Meaningful information about the effectiveness of their children’s teachers
• To be informed when their child is assigned to an ineffective teacher
• The right to organize and force real change if their child is stuck in a persistently failing school.
